Ayiti Community Trust
Description
A nonprofit organization
Mission
A permanent endowment to support Ayiti's long-term development in three interconnected pillars: civic education, environment, and entrepreneurship.
Ayiti Community Trust (ACT) is mobilizing the Haitian diaspora and Friends of Ayiti locally and globally to create sustainable change for Ayiti’s future. As a leader and trusted source for all things Ayiti—past, present, and future—ACT partners with Haitian professional organizations, businesses, and individuals to implement an asset-based framework that redefines Ayiti’s narrative and potential.
ACT shows up in Miami! ACT’s initiatives foster an economic ecosystem that celebrates and uplifts local businesses and Haitian-led organizations, benefiting the Miami community and promoting long-term financial empowerment. We engage the next generation by presenting at Miami Dade College, Uturn Youth, and other local organizations, inspiring young minds and honoring Haitian contributions.
Additionally, our Ayiti Connect Events, supported by Florida Humanities, bring Haitians closer to their rich heritage, history, and community, helping to strengthen Ayiti’s cultural fabric within Miami. ACT’s work not only supports Ayiti’s future but also contributes significantly to the vibrant, diverse tapestry of Miami.
Together, we are rethinking, rebuilding, and reshaping a brighter tomorrow for Ayiti and Miami alike.
Through our commitment to sustainable economic and social development, ACT is growing its endowment to partner with Ayiti on a 21st-century path of progress, anchored in three interconnected pillars: civic education, environmental stewardship, and entrepreneurship.
